The oath of office to Justice Sanghi was administered by Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen (retd) Gurmit Singh at the Raj Bhawan.
Justice Vipin Sanghi, he is born on October 27, 1961. Sanghi shifted with his family to Delhi, in 1965. He studied in Delhi Public School, Mathura Road and graduated with Bsc in Mathematics and completed his LLB from the Delhi University. He then enrolled in Delhi Bar Council as an advocate. He worked with senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi. He was then appointed as a Central Government Panel counsel in Supreme Court. He is nominated as a senior advocate by the Delhi High Court in December 2005. He was appointed as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court, in May 2006 and confirmed as a judge in February 2008. He took part in various international conferences. He practiced in civil and criminal matters in the Supreme Court of India.
He is soft-spoken, yet always in control of his court. He delivered a lengthy judgment on the nuances of The Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, directing the grant of approval and immediate surgery for a woman who needed a kidney transplant. He held in this judgment that a patient cannot be deprived of a kidney transplant even if the donor is only an acquaintance and not a blood relation and dealt with this case with utmost priority and sensitivity. Not only this case there are many more cases heard by Justice Vipin Sanghi such as the suo moto covid-19 cases.

NOTABLE JUDGEMENT
Justice Vipin Sanghi’s recent judgement is on passing a decree of divorce by mutual consent, the Delhi High Court has waived off the six months cooling-off period as stipulated under Hindu Marriage Act after observing that keeping the couple tied to a legal bond would only mean snatching away from them the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life. A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Dinesh Kumar was present at a decree of the matter.
